Acas has launched its Model Workplace, a 'key points' plan which identifies the features of an effective workplace and provides guidance to help businesses achieve the key points. The Model Workplace booklet, a one-stop guide which identifies the features of an organisation which manages people effectively, will be backed up by free training sessions.

The booklet contains a self-assessment questionnaire for companies to carry out a "health check" against the key features of an effective workplace and signposts them to further help. The booklet will be supported by free training sessions and other advice. Applying the model workplace features is entirely voluntary.

The Acas Model Workplace booklet will be priced at £;4.95 but for an introductory period of three months will be available free for single copies and £;1.95 for two or more copies.
